Tamaqua police responded to a disturbance call at 225 Orwigsburg St. at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23. On their way to the scene officers received a report that the suspect had left the scene in a white car and was possibly headed in the direction of Middleport.

Officers stopped a white Oldsmobile in the area of Our Family Mini Mart and spoke with the driver, Andrew Dotter, 24, of 218 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua. Dotter had a small laceration above his left eye and swelling beneath the eye.

An officer then went to 25 Orwigsburg St. and spoke with Tina Hosier and John Sillers. The duo said Dotter entered the residence without permission and scuffled with Hosier, who had swelling on her forehead and scrapes on her arm.

Dotter was charged with burglary, simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
