A Summit Hill man was charged after he allegedly stole money from a family member.

According to Summit Hill police, on Sept. 15, officers received a report from a family member of Daniel Joseph O'Donnell, 40, of 444 W. Ludlow St., who said that their check cards, as well as checks were missing; and money had been taken out of their account without their permission.

Over the course of the next few weeks, an investigation was conducted and revealed that O'Donnell stole the items and forged the name of the family member on the checks.

Police charged O'Donnell in October with two counts of forgery, two counts of access device fraud, and theft by unlawful taking.

O'Donnell is being held in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
