Pocono Mountain Regional police reported about 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, officers stopped a Honda CRV along SR940 near Long Pond Road, in Pocono Summit, after observing several motor vehicle code violations.

The driver was identified as Joseph Ferraro, 22, of Easton. Ferraro was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where he submitted to a blood test.

Ferraro is facing charges of DUI of alcohol and a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic violations. The DUI count is pending test results, police added.
