Fugitive wanted for murder nabbed

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported assisting the the arrest of a person wanted for attempted murder.

On Nov. 4 about 11:03 a.m. officers assisted the U.S. Marshals office in arresting Edwin Miguel Santiago, 28, of Fayetteville, N.C. He was apprehended without incident at 5902 Onandaga Way, Tobyhanna. He is wanted by North Carolina officials on charges of attempted first decree murder.

Santiago was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville without bail pending extradition to North Carolina.

Police also reported a fugitive from justice arrest on Nov. 8 about 1:49 p.m. Police said officers responded to a fight in the street at Pocono Plateau. Found on scene was Luis Lamboy, 19, of Easton. A check was made and it was learned that Lamboy was wanted by Northampton County authorities for simple assault. He was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending return to Northampton County.
