Two vehicle accident in Hometown

Emergency responders were called to the intersection of SR309 and SR54 Saturday evening, in front of the Beacon Diner,in Hometown, following a two vehicle collision. Reportedly, Jake Love, Tamaqua, turning his Jeep Wrangler into the Beacon Diner from SR309 north, pulled into the path of John William, New Philadelphia, who was driving a Pontiac Sunfire south on SR309. Responding were Rush Township police, firefighters and fire police. No serious injuries were reported.Traffic was detoured around the area while both vehicles were towed from the scene. Patrolman Carl Bachert in the investigating officer.
