Showing their thanks to veterans

The 7th grade Pleasant Valley Intermediate School visited Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home in Kunkletown and presented a Veterans Day program, under the direction of their adviser, Ms. Maricatherine Garr, also a PVI science teacher. They sang patriotic songs, read patriotic poems, some played instruments, some read poems they composed themselves. They dedicated them to the 12 residents of the Chestnut Ridge Home and Country View Home, like Rachael Brush, Ardita Komoni and Fima Sabovie did to Robert Rapp, who served in the Navy during the Korean War. The other veterans who received recognition are: Raymond Theis, Marines, Korean War; Burt Zimmermann, Air Force, World War II; Daniel Pearson, Army, World War II; James Berger, Air Force, World War II; Ed Moglia, Army, World War II; Emmit Bock, Army World War II; Donald Sheaffer, Air Force, World War II; William Kunkle, Air Force, Korean War; Stephen Shinksky, Army, World War II; Alex Giaquinto, Army, World War II; Alex Giaquinto, Army, World War II; Joe Parayos, Army World War II.
