Break-in, theft incident probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary and a theft incident.

The break-in occurred at the residence at 1725 White Oak Drive, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County. Entry was gained through a window which was found broken. Once inside the criminals consumed alcoholic beverages from the refrigerator then left the home without taking anything. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 1-4. The home is owned by Miley Bandanzo, 48, of Allentown.

Nancy Lynn Thompson, 52, of 915 E. James St., Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported three white gas cans and 13 gallons of gas were stolen from her residence. The incident was reported at 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.
