Theft incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on theft incidents being probed by troopers.

Timothy R. Groegler, 52, of Forest Inn Road, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported about $100 in U.S. currency, jewelry and a blank check was taken from his bedroom. The incident occurred sometime between Friday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 30.

Troopers said they are investigating a theft by deception incident. Troopers said the victim of the incident is the Christian Action Council for Palmerton area churches, located in Lower Towamensing Township. Troopers said it was reported on Monday, Oct. 31, about 6:35 p.m. that the victim had $400 stolen.

Troopers are investigating the theft of a Honda 200i EU inverter from a utility pole located along Old Route 115, at Mt. Eaton Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. The inverter, valued at $1,000, was stolen sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, and 3:30 a.m. on Monday. The inverter is the property of Blue Ridge Communications of Gilbert.

Troopers are also probing an act of criminal mischief. Someone threw large rocks into two windows at the residence of Michael J. Sprava, 56, of 141 Upper Greenhill Road, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, smashing out the windows. The incident occurred sometime between 1:30 and 2 am. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
