Lehighton students present annual Spring Choral Concert

Lehighton Area Middle School presented its Spring Choral Concert, with the middle school show choir, Music Express Jr. wearing black sparkily tops and black pants performing first the Motown classic, "I Heard it Through the Grapevine", followed by "Knock on Wood," which featured the soloist Sophia Everett. The group concluded its portion of the program with a "Footloose."

The Treble Chorale, under the direction of Thomas Weidner, began their portion of the program with, "Boogie Board Boogie." They will then performed "Morning," followed by "My America,""My Country Tis' of Thee," and "Splish, Splash" which concluded their portion of the program.The Choraliers, a mixed choir, under the direction of Laura Welkey, sang "Ye Shall Have a Song." Then Holly Hinkle accompanied the choir on the Baroque piece "Ich will den Herrn Loben." "America, the Land I Love" which featured Holly Hinkle on the piano with Hunter McCable, Matthew Shanton, and Noah Williams on percussion. "Lean On Me," which has been featured on the TV show Glee, highlighted Spence David and Holly Hinkle on vocal solos. The then performed, "Africa and concluded their portion of the program with Barry Manilow's "One Voice." "One Voice" featured Emily Cerimele on piano and Riley Schaeffer, Maria Colon, and Noah Williams on vocal solos.
