District Magisterial offices throughout Schuylkill County have been undergoing some revamping the past few weeks as office personnel learn a new computer operating system. In the Tamaqua office of DJ Steven Bayer, the office was closed for business last week for training purposes. Staff members Brenda Hill, Tracie Schimpf, Denna Krammes and Carly Sarge received computer training from Nathan Myers, a contractor for the Administrative Office of District Courts. Bayer also became familiar with the new Windows based operating system. The system replaces a DOS Unix based system used in the district courts since 1992.
