A Tamaqua man was arraigned before District Magistrate Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, on charges related to controlled drug buys from Sept. 5 and 8, 2010.

Kenneth Parsons, 23, was living at 225 Pine St., at the time of the incident.

Members of the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force took a confidential informant (CI) to the Pine Street apartment on those dates. Both times the CI allegedly bought baggies of vegetable matter from Parsons.

The matter field tested positive for marijuana on each occasion.

Parsons was arraigned on two counts each of possession with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bayer set bail at $10,000 straight cash for each set of charges. Parsons was transported to the county prison, Pottsville, in lieu of bail.
