Lehighton Area Chamber of Commerce gave Carbon County bosses an opportunity to honor their administrative assistants on Wednesday at the 11th annual Administrative Assistant Day luncheon at the Blue Ridge Country Club in Palmerton.
Jack Sturm served as master of ceremonies and Earl Schneider welcomed everyone to the event.
Administrative assistants were served a salad or sandwich of their choice and presented a gift bag of items, a long stemmed carnation and the opportunity to win prizes, all donated from local businesses.
They were also treated to a fashion show courtesy of Dress Barn of the Lehigh Valley.
Narrating the fashion show was Mary Konowitz, the store manager. Women were selected from the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce to model casual, office and dressy attire.
Models were Rose Ann Lesher of Country Inn and Suites; Pearl Sheckler of Mauch Chunk Trust Company; Heather McClure, staff of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce; Sheila Knappenberger, Buckno Lisicky & Company; and Connie Christman of Carbon Search and Settlement Services, Inc.
The models were assisted in the dressing room by Angela Trommer, a sales associate with Dress Barn.
The women had fun showing off the latest fashions and the 79 guests in attendance paid close attention to the styles.
