Pocono Mountain Regional police reported the arrest of a Monroe County man following a domestic incident in which a gun was involved. Police were dispatched to the home for a domestic dispute with shots fired. En route Cheryl Snyder made contact with officers by phone and said her husband, Richard, and her had a verbal dispute. She claimed Richard made threats to shoot their computer where she was sitting. She said he went into their bedroom, retrived a 9mm handgun and then walked outside and fired 15 rounds in an unknown direction. He then returned into the home with the gun and then went to a neighbors house.

Police said they located him at a neighbors' home and took him into custody. He was charged with simple assault and harassment.
