Tamaqua Girl Scouts learn about chemical engineering

Guest speaker and Air Products chemical engineer Kate Lordan used Hershey chocolate bars to explain the various aspects of chemical engineering while pointing out each ingredient and the amount of work that goes into producing and manufacturing various types of products to Tamaqua Girl Scouts recently at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She also discussed her many duties and responsibilities at the Hometown Air Products plant. Air Products scientist and Tamaqua Girl Scouts service unit manager Nancy Paisley also discussed her duties at the plant and pointed out that each girl scout will receive an engineering badge for participating.
