Sheriff Mack to speak at the Opera House
On Saturday, April 9th, Sheriff Mack will be speaking at the Mauch Chunk Opera House to address the citizens of Carbon County on the importance of the county sheriff and the importance of holding those who take an oath to the constitution of the United Stated of America seriously.
These oath takers include elected officials, judges, attorneys, police officers and members of our military. Sheriff Mack made national news in 1994 when he took a bold stand against the Clinton administration and won a subsequent lawsuit at the Supreme Court proving once and for all that the Sheriff is indeed the ultimate law enforcement authority is his county.
Since then Sheriff Mack has been on a national crusade to embolden the sheriffs of the United States to stand up for the rights of their citizens.
The event is being hosted by the Carbon County Constitutionalists and information on purchasing tickets can found by calling the number (310)709-9935 or by going to the group's website on meetupdotcom. Stewart Rhodes, president of the national organization Oath Keepers, which has a membership of 30,000 former and current oath takers, will also be on hand as a special guest. Doors open at 9am and the event will start at 10am.
