The nominating petition of William D. Boyer, 105 Ryan Avenue, Tamaqua, who is seeking nomination to a six year term as auditor in Rush Township, is being challenged by Walter Taylor, Rush Township, according to a petition filed in the prothonotary's office in the Schuylkill County Courthouse. President Judge William D. Baldwin has scheduled a hearing on the complaint for Friday at the courthouse in Pottsville.

Taylor alleges that Boyer, when he filed his nominating petitions, failed to include a statement of financial interests on the state ethics form which must be filed in the election bureau and also in the clerk of courts office in the courthouse.Taylor is asking the court to have Boyer's name removed from the ballot. Boyer has filed for auditor on the Republican ballot.
