Parishioners of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Tamaqua held their first monthly community outreach soup kitchen this past Saturday in their social hall.

The free community dinner included vegetable beef soup, homemade bread, refreshments and a large variety of desserts.

Trinity UCC Reverend Dr. David Grant gives full credit to his parishioners for their desire to help the community and pointed out that the soup kitchen isn't only for low income, as anyone can come enjoy some great soup with great people.

Their next soup kitchen will be Saturday April 2nd from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in their church social hall. For more information, call the church at (570) 668-4139.
