Published March 11. 2011 05:00PM

Calling all PV Band Alumni. Help us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pleasant Valley School District. Join with your fellow former band members for a very special concert to be held at the new PV high school auditorium on Saturday, June 4.

This performance will be under the direction of the three conductors who have successfully led the PVHS band for the past 50 years: Floyd Frisbie, Bob Riday, and Jim DeVivo.

Music performed will include favorite tunes from our past, in arrangements easy enough even for those who haven't played for many years. Instruments will be available upon request for those who no longer have their own.

Rehearsals will be held at PVHS as follows: Friday, June 3 - 6:30-9 p.m.; Saturday, June 4 - 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Concert will be Saturday, June 4 at 3 p.m.

Gala Reception to follow in the PVHS cafeteria.

Concerned about being out of practice? Optional refresher rehearsals, under the direction of Floyd Frisbie and Dave Heller will be held on Tuesday, May 17; Wednesday, May 18; Tuesday, May 24; Thursday, May 26; and Tuesday, May 31 from 7-8 p.m. in the high school band room. An instrument repair person will be on hand to fix problem instruments, and items such as reeds, valve oil, etc. will be available.

Don't be left out. Register now. Email: or call 570-402-1000, ext. 3165 for additional information and registration.
