Temple Israel plans purim celebration
Temple Israel of Lehighton, 194 Bankway St., Lehighton, will host a Masquerade Potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 18. There will be some unusual varieties of Hamentashen, including chocolate-raspberry.
Friday evening services will continue with Topsy-Turvy T'fillah [prayer] at 7:15 p.m. with Rabbi Melody Davis as the spiritual leader. There will be singing prayers to music.
Confirm your dinner donation/ RSVP to Vickie Semmel at (610) 703-2854 or at firstname.lastname@example.org, by Wednesday, March 16. For those bringing dishes requiring heating, should be there by 5:30 p.m. The use of disposable pans or plates for serving is appreciated.
Temple Israel is continuing the Mitzvah Project of the donation of canned goods to the Jewish Family Service of the Lehigh Valley's Kosher Food Pantry. Everyone is asked to bring a can of food to help others.
