Lehighton lass obtains top President's Challenge honors for four years
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
Isabella Baka is the third girl at Franklin Elementary School in Lehighton to attain the top level Presidential Award in all four years at the school.
This award is the highest achievement level in a battery of physical fitness tests provided by "The President's Challenge" program, which is designed to inspire children to become physically active and fit.
Isabella now joins an elite group consisting of Aubrey Blasiak, Lauren House, Aaron Berger and Kyle Hunter, who previously accomplished this feat within the past 15 years.
Isabella also set new Top Gun records in three of the five fitness tests this year. Top Gun records are the best scores ever for each age group at Franklin Elementary.
