A business in the West End of Palmerton has re-opened under new management.

Thus far, it's been nothing but thumbs up for the West End Saloon, located at 1121 Mauch Chunk Road.Derrick Drey, manager, said the business continues to be run by owner Stephen Takacs.Drey said the business, which reopened May 31, features "good food and a friendly atmosphere."He said tacos, cheeseburgers, cheesesteaks, and wings are among the more popular menu items."It's a good place to bring the family to eat," he said. "Our staff provides good food, and good service."Drey said customers have voiced their support of the business."Everyone pretty much likes the food," he said. "We want to run a decent business."The West End Saloon is open from 4 p.m. until close Monday through Saturday.
