Domestic incidents lead to charges
Two domestic incidents, both occurring on Sunday, June 19, led to charges being filed against two individuals.
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported at 3:10 a.m. officers were on patrol along SR196 near Domino's Pizza shop in Mt. Jones was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, harassment and public drunkenness.
The second incident occurred about 11:10 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic problem at 5080 Chandus Way in Pocono Farms. Upon arrival police heard a female behind the house yelling for someone to help her.
As a result of an investigaiton officers ordered Ralph Almodova, 24, of Tobyhanna, to come out of the house. Almodovar was taken into custody for another incident that happened earlier in the morning in which he allegedly broke into a residence at A Pocono Country Place and displayed a knife while threatening his wife.
The investigation also revealed that incident led to the arrest of Almodovar on additional charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the county prison pending arraignment, police said.
