A Monroe County man is facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI) and open lewdness following an incident that occurred about 3:02 a.m. on Sunday, June 19.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers were on routine patrol at the time and date stated along SR940 near Blakeslee Corners, in Tobyhanna Township, when they observed a male exit his vehicle in the parking lot near the WaWa store.He walked across the lot and stood on a landscape bed. He then began to urinate in the landscape bed and in plain view of the WaWa store customers, police said.The male was identified as Mahendranauth Arjune, 42, of Albrightsville. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. Charges will be filed, police said.
