Tree falls on SR443

Two of three lanes of SR443 in East Brunswick Township near the border of West Penn Township were closed after a large tree fell across the roadway Tuesday morning. The tree feel at 8 a.m. atop what is known as the "Clamtown Hill." Several PennDOt crews as well as members of the West Penn Fire Co. No. 1 responded using chainsaws to cut up the large tree and carry off the limbs. The lanes were blocked for an hour.
