Theft of jewelry being probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of jewelry from a Carbon County home.

Troopers said the incident occurred at the residence of Michele Hosier, 43, of 165 Woods Rd., in Lehighton, Lower Towamensing Township.

Troopers said the victim's son had a party at the home and during the time frame of 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. on June 11-12, suspects entered a bedroom and rmoved several pairs of earrings and a jewelry box. The jewelry is valued at $1,000, troopers said.

Troopers said they have two male suspects, ages 19 and 20, and both from Lehighton, but declined to release their names.
