Tamaqua scout helps revitalize McAdoo park

As part of her Silver Award, Victoria Carrell, 13, of Tamaqua Girl Scout Troop 1211, Service Unit 310, decided to organize and revitalize Centennial Park, a small resting park located on East Sherman Street in McAdoo. Victoria said the complete revitalization of the park will take a few more months. Taking a pause from the raking and pulling weeds are from left, are Victoria's father Rich Carrell, mother Cathy Carrell, GS Service Unit manager Nancy Paisley, scouts Megan Bolton, 16, Victoria, Julie Ann Koscak, 14, Tiffany Cramer, 16, Rachael Paisley, 14, and Troop 1210 co-leader Melissa Wilson.
