The Jim Thorpe Summer Recreation Program, a day camp program at Memorial Park for children in the Jim Thorpe School District starts on Monday, June 20.

It includes students who are currently in grades 2 through 6 from both the public schools and Saint Joseph Regional Academy and there is no cost to the students. This will be the 15th year for this outdoor program which runs for 8 weeks, Monday to Friday, rain or shine.

Day Camp Coordinator, Randall Smith stated that it provides very healthy, well-supervised outdoor activities for the children.
