Members of the Tamaqua LEO Club spent a number of hours this week pulling weeds and picking up litter at the Tamaqua Depot Square Park and train station parking lot in preparation for Saturday's Charity Starts at Home Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday's Summerfest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The LEOs will also be operating a dunk tank competition during the Summerfest to raise donations for charitable causes. Pictured behind a large pile of gathered weeds, from left, are Tamaqua LEO Club chief advisor and District 14-U Lions Club 2nd Vice Governor, LEO Club advisor and Lions Club Andrew Leibenguth, LEO members Jared Sharpe, 15, and secretary Andrea Whitley, 16.
