Scott Kane, branch manager of First Niagara Bank in Lansford, on Tuesday presented a $500 check to the Panther Valley Public Library. Accepting the check are library board member Marie Ondrus, left, and board secretary Dawn Neyer. The library, at 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, will be open this summer Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. 1 p.m.; Tues: 9 a.m. to noon and 4-7 p.m. The library also plans a book sale this weekend, June 18-19, at the Lansford Ambulance building, 31 E.
