The federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) and the Polycythemia Vera (PV) Community Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting to provide updates on investigations related to the blood disease in communities in and around Tamaqua.
The meeting will be held at the Tamaqua Community Center, formerly known as the Mohn Building, 223 Center Street, on Wednesday, June 15, 6 - 8 p.m. Representatives from the ATSDR, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Drexel University, and the University of Pittsburgh will be available to provide information and answer questions from community members.Updates on the ongoing PV investigations are also available at
