West Penn Township police are investigating a crash which occurred late Friday night along SR895, about a half-mile east of SR309. Police found a car which appeared to be traveling east when the driver lost control, entered the right berm mowing down a set of guardrails, then rolled down an embankment. The driver, from Stroudsburg, was not at the scene when police arrived. They later learned he was driven to the St. Luke's Miner's Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, by a friend. West Penn Chief of police Brian Johnson and officer Jason Lorah are investigating.
