Monroe arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several arrests made by officers recently.

On Friday, May 13, about 7:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male at Mr. Z's in Mt. Pocono. On scene officers made contact with Justin Mumbauer, 34, of Albrightsville. He was found to be highly intoxicated and a danger to himself. An ambulance was called and he was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was cited for public drunkenness.

Also on Friday, along SR196 south of the intersection with SR423, Tobyhanna, officers responded to a report of a female being observed dumping rubbish from her vehicle onto the shoulder of the road. A description of the vehicle was found along with the registration.

Officers went to the home of where the registration listed and found Sherma M. Hutchinson, 49, of Tobyhanna. A further investigation revealed Hutchinson had dumped the rubbish on the shoulder of the road. She was cited for scattering rubbish, police said.

On Sunday, May 15, at 1:05 a.m., officers were in the WaWa store in Blakeslee when they detected the odor of marijuana coming from the men's restroom. A further investigation revealed that Saleem Spencer, 27, of Auburn, N.Y., was in the restroom stall preparing a marijuana cigarette. Spencer was charged with possession of marijuana.

On Tuesday, May 17, at 9:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to the K-mart in Mt. Pocono for a retail theft complaint. On scene officers determined that Ann M. Luisi-Pendola, 52, of Canadensis, attempted to leave the store with $157.85 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

She was charged with retail theft and released.

Also on Tuesday officers were dispatched to a residence on Beaver Dam Road at 11:41 p.m. in reference to threats being made via phone. Upon arrival Beth Maioranna, 51, of Long Pond, was observed physically and verbally assaulting two victims in the driveway. The investigation revealed Maioranna was intoxicated and came to the residence to fulfill threats she made to her husband, Jeffrey Maioranna, 33, of Long Pond, by phone.

Both Maioranna's were cited for harassment. She was also cited for public drunkenness, police added.

At 4:14 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the area of 5503 Grammercy Park for a domestic dispute with a weapon. Upon arrival officers made contact wtih Kimberly Lishman, 27, of Pocono Summit. An investigation revealed that Colby Andrews, 28, of Pocono Summit, pointed a loaded shotgun at Lishman and threatened to kill her. Colby fled the scene in his vehicle prior to police arrival.

The vehicle was later located and Colby taken into custody. He was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. Colby was committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $20,000 bail.
