The Palmerton Area School Board at a special meeting on Tuesday approved the following extracurricular positions per the negotiated contract for the 2011-12 school year:

- On a 7-1 vote, with Director Tina Snyder opposed, Michael Falcone, assistant football coach, $3,863- Bethany Rowland, cheerleading adviser, $2,334- Jodi Smale, cheerleading adviser, $2,334- Kathryn McKeon, junior high cheerleading adviser, $1,167- Avery Weber, co-assistant football coach, $1,932- Karl Pielmeier, volunteer swim coach- Susan Pielmeier, volunteer swim coach
