Towamensing Township Historical Commission to present award

Published June 06. 2011 05:00PM

The Towamensing Township Historical Commission is in the process of selecting a township resident to receive its first annual Historical Preservation award. The award will be presented in the fall 2011 to the person who has done the most to enhance the historical heritage of the township.

The Commission is gathering a list of nominees for this award - the nomination form asks for the name and address of the nominee and a brief explanation of why the award is merited. Residents can pick up a form from any Historical Commission member or at the township building at 120 Stable Road.

Only the winner will be announced. A person nominated in one calendar year who is not selected will be eligible for the award in subsequent years.
