Towamensing Yankees completes busy stretch
The Towamesning Yankees concluded a busy stretch by going 4-3 in recent Keystone Senior Babe Ruth action.
Daniel Sharpe hit a pair of doubles and knocked in two runs to help Big Pocono gain a 7-1 Northampton County Legion victory over the Birches on Wednesday.
Frank Argentieri pitched a two-hitter to earn the mound win while Howie Stevens suffered the loss.

Rich Steigerwalt had a single, double, triple and knocked in four runs for the Towamesing Yankees but it wasn't enough as McAdoo/Tresckow tallied three times in the home seventh for an 11-10 win.
Joe Katona added two hits, one a triple, and knocked in two runs for the Yankees, who had taken a 10-8 lead with four runs in the top of the seventh.

Nick Brogan tossed a four-hitter and struck out 13 batters to help the Towamensing Yankees post a 6-4 win over the Hazleton Mountaineers.
Rich Steigerwalt knocked in two runs for the winners while Joe Tyahla scored three runs and had three stolen bases.

A late-inning rally fell short and the Towamensing Yankees dropped a 12-8 decision to the Bushkill Township Minutemen.
Joe Tyahla hit a homer for the Yankees, who scored five times in the home seventh before being retired. Nick Brogan also knocked in three runs.
For the Minutemen, Drew Hoagland homered and drove in five runs.

The Towamensing Yankees scored nine runs in the second inning en route to an 11-8 win over the Pocono Outlaws.
Gabrielle Augustine earned the pitching win in relief, striking out three over 1 innings. She also had a hit, walked three times and knocked in two.
Mike Horvath also contributed to the win collecting two hits, one a double, and driving in two runs.

The Panther Valley Black Diamonds forced extra innings with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and then won the game with a run in the ninth.
Clayton Brown had two hits and knocked in three runs for PV, who earned a 5-4 victory.
Black Diamond starter Zach Stanko pitched eight solid innings, striking out 12 batters. Zack King tossed the ninth to earn the victory.
