VFW Auxiliary presents pledge of allegiance program

R.W. Fritzinger Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7215 Ladies Auxiliary, Walnutport, presented a Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag program to kindergarten and first grade students at East Penn Elementary School. From left are, adults, Mary Beth Dougherty, representing Sen. David Argall's office, Lucille Rex, Auxiliary member; and Karen Bandzi, president of the Auxiliary; and children, Bryce Potts, Sydney Miller, Trent Scott and Leilani McClure. The program included a video and teaching the pledge of allegiance to the student. As part of the program, students were given a pencil, coloring book and a flag. The program was cosponsored by Argall. This was the fifth program presented to area schools.
