Teens are arrested for shoplifting

Two girls, a 16-year-old from Kutztown and a 17-year-old from Topton, are facing retail theft charges (shoplifting) after an incident at 7:20 p.m. July 6 at the Kohl's store in the Trexlertown Mall, Lower Macungie Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said the girls removed clothing items and makeup from the store and placed it in their purses before trying to leave the store without paying for them.

They were caught trying to steal items valued at $27.98 and $93.19, respectively.
