A female juvenile from Jim Thorpe, who police said was a runaway who became combative after she was located, resulting in injury to a police officer, has been arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police.

Officers said they were notified by state police on July 26 that the juvenile runaway was possibly staying at 217 Green Briar Circle. The homeowner was identified as Susan Marin, 48.Police located the girl there, after which time she became combative with police when given verbal directives. Police said the girl ignored police orders and was taken into custody after several minutes of her resisting arrest. During the incident, the officer was injured.Police charged the girl with aggravated assault, simple assault and resisting arrest and placed her in the Northampton County Detention Center.
