Gilbert woman leaves crash scene

Amanda M. Hahn, 26, of Gilbert, is facing charges after she left the scene of an accident on July 15 at 10:15 p.m. on Serfass Road in Polk Township, Monroe County, according to state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said she was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am west on Serfass Road and was travelling too fast for conditions as she approached another accident scene. Police said Hahn's vehicle traveled off the north shoulder of the roadway and went into a yard, striking several bushes and shrubbery, as well as the entire patio set in the yard. Police said the woman regained control of her vehicle, which traveled back onto the roadway, at which time the operator continued west on Serfass Road with no attempt to stop.Police said she left the scene of the accident and a witness followed her to her home, reporting the incident to authorities.There were no injuries involved in the crash. The Grand Am received minor damages.
