Attempted break-in probed in Monroe

Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an attempted burglary at a Monroe County business.

Police said on Monday, July 25, about 2:45 a.m. officers were called to the Mount Pocono Plaza, in Mt. Pocono. Employees of the McDonald's Restaurant reported hearing glass breaking at one of the stores in the plaza.

A further investigation revealed two windows of Brother Bruno's Pizza were smashed by the use of lids from trash cans.

Witnesses reported a white male, about five-feet, nine inches tall, age range of 28 or 29, with blonde hair was seen in the area and leaving an a maroon colored Dodge Ram truck.

The truck was driven by a white female with blonde hair and a passenger, white female, with dark hair. One of the females was described as having a diamond shaped tattoo on her forearm.

Witnesses also reported one of the females told them they lived in Providence, R.I.
