Revitalizing Tamaqua park

Tamaqua youth and community members spent all day Tuesday revitalizing the Tamaqua Area Skate and Willing Park located behind Boyer's Market in Tamaqua.

Justin Startzel, who spearheaded the cleanup, said he is restarting the association with determination of bringing back all the benefits the park has always offered since its creation, while also doing new ideas and programs.Startzel and other community members will spend the next few weeks painting, pulling weeds, landscaping and performing other improvements to the park.To volunteer or for more information about the restarted Tamaqua Area Skate and Willing Park Association and its future initiatives, visit them on Facebook or email Startzel at
