Fire company story clarified

Published July 27. 2011 05:02PM

In yesterday's coverage of Lehighton Borough Council regarding approval for financing a new fire station, it was stated that three houses to be torn down are owned by the Lehighton Fire Department.

The houses were actually purchased and are owned by Lehigh Fire Company No. 1, the social quarters of the fire department.

Also, the motion to go with the project was made by council member Melissa Ebbert.

Her name was wrong in the article.
