July 27, 1953 Three two-run homers in the first inning help propel the Summit Hill All-Stars to a 13-3 win over the Lansford All-Stars in the annual Twin-City League all-star game. Bob "Kaska" Watkins, Alex Maketa and the Rev. Raymond Rossnagle all go deep during the eight-run frame. Richie Davidyock adds a two-run single in the big inning. Johnny Herbert adds two hits and two runs and also gains the pitching win. The winners receive two hits and three runs from Allan Schock while Joe Van Horn chips in with two hits and a run.
