Lehigh River clean-up

Published July 25. 2011 05:02PM

The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), and its Jacobsburg EE Center, and the state Fish and Boat Commission, is sponsoring a "Lehigh River Clean-up" on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join the staff as they canoe the lower Lehigh River and pick up plastic bottles, aluminum cans, fishing line and other trash that threatens the wildlife. Also, it is a great opportunity to see wildlife along the river. To register, contact Bill Sweeney at wisweeney@state.pa.us. Or call 610-746-2808.
