Monroe arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

On Sunday, July 17, about 2:46 a.m. officers were dispatched to Mi Casa Restaurant, in Mt. Pocono, for a report of a male threatening a taxi cab driver and had been harassing a patron and a bartender. Upon arrival the suspect was identified as Tony Wardlow, 34, of Pocono Summit.

It was determined Wardlow was highly intoxicated and a danger to himself and others. While attempting to take him into custody, Wardlow resisted by kicking the officers. He was placed in the police cruiser and transported to the county prison in Sndyersville pending arraignment. He was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, simple assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment.

On July 15 about midnight officers were dispatched to Bill's Shoppe Rite in Mt. Pocono for an employee causing a disturbance in the store. Upon arrival officers identified the suspect as Timothy Green, 41, of Tobyhanna. While speaking with Green officers detected the odor of alcohol coming from him. He was placed under arrest and charged with public drunkenness.

Also on July 15, about 12:25 a.m., officers were on patrol near the WaWa store in Blakeslee when they observed a male stumbling across the parking lot. He was identified as Brandon Wert, of Junction City, Kan.

While speaking with him officers detected the odor of alcohol coming from. He was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and taken to the county prison.
