Tuscarora driver facing charges

A Tuscarora driver is facing charges following an incident where a pedestrian was struck. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 11:09 p.m. on Monday, July 18, in Port Carbon, off an unnamed road.

Troopers said Anthony Secadones, 50, was backing his 1995 Jeep Wrangler out of a parking space to go north when he struck Doris A. Dewald, 48, of Port Carbon, who was standing behind the vehicle. Dewald was knocked to the ground and sustained a minor injury that did not require immediate medical attention, troopers said.After impact troopers said Secadones fled the scene without rendering aid to Dewalt. Secadones will be charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, troopers added.
