Break-in, theft and mischief incidents
State police at Lehighton reported on investigating a burglary, theft and various acts of criminal mischief in recent days.
The break-in occurred at the residence of Kimberly Banning, 44, of 707 Creek Drive, in the Pleasant Valley Estates, in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said unknown criminals gained entry to the home via an unsecured window. Once inside they took an Xbox 360, a variety of games and an Acer mini-laptop. Estimated total value of the missing items is $1,500. The incident occurred sometime between July 4-6.
Troopers said Grace Allison Williams, 21, of Lehighton, reported her Blackberry Curve cellular phone was stolen while she was attending a party at 2155 Little Gap Road, in Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on July 3 and 1 a.m. on July 4. The phone is valued at $300.
The following acts of criminal mischief were reported.
Wendy L. Smith, 38, of 212 White St., Weissport, reported someone threw a brick through a window on her back door. The incident was reported at 2:30 p.m. on July 5.
Timothy Biery, 24, of 3348 Shady Oaks Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported someone damaged the glass in an exterior light post at his property. The incident was reported at 2:37 a.m. on July 5.
Velma Silfies, 79, of Box 567, Kunkletown Road, in Kunkletown, Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone used an unknown object and damaged the front window of her home. Damages were estimated at $250. The incident was reported at 9:30 p.m. on June 22.
Virginia Dannels, 45, of 602 Woodland Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported someone damaged a walkway light and pulled six green pepper plants out of her garden. The incident occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 5.
Brian Johnson, 30, of 3336 Shady Oaks Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported someone damaged a light post on his property. Damages were estimated at $50. The incident occurred sometime between 11:03 p.m. July 4 and 2 a.m. on July 5.
Erin Dooner, 28, of 343 Kresge Farm Road, Effort, Polk Township, reported the aluminum siding on her home was struck by several paint balls. Damages were estimated at $500. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 7 a.m. on July 18.
