A vacant business manager position in the Northern Lehigh School District has drummed up much interest.

A field of over 30 candidates applied for the position as of last Thursday's deadline, according to Sherri Molitoris, board secretary.The position opened up after former business manager Jeremy Melber resigned last month to accept a position as the new director of business services in the Southern Lehigh School District.Melber had served as Northern Lehigh's business manager since 2008.The next board meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8, in the new district office board room.
