New Jersey driver injured in Carbon

A New Jersey driver was transported to a Lehigh Valley area hospital following a one vehicle crash in Carbon County. State police at Fern Ridge said the crash occurred about 12:01 p.m. on Monday, July 11, along SR534 in Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said Nancy L. Pagano, 66, of Egg Harbor, was driving a 2003 Honda CRV westbound and negotiating a curve when it went off the road on the north side, came back a across the road and rolled onto its side. It then slid for a couple of feet to a final rest on its side.

Pagano was taken by Lehighton ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of injuries, troopers said. Damages were disabling to the vehicle.

Troopers cited Pagano for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
