A New Jersey driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Nesquehoning.

Borough police Officer Carl Breiner observed a vehicle being operated erratically, crossing over the center line and white fog lines, along SR209 in the area of Lantern Restaurant about 2:53 a.m. on May 29.

Breiner made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Chad Zaengle, 24, of Clinton. Zaengle showed signs of intoxication and submitted to a preliminary breath test which showed the presence of alcohol.

Zaengle failed field sobriety tests and was transported for a blood test which revealed he had a .15BAC.
